A pressure transmitter is a device that converts pressure into a pneumatic or electric signal for control and remote transmission. It can convert the physical pressure parameters of gas and liquid felt by the pressure sensor into standard electrical signals (such as 4~20mADC, etc.) to supply to the secondary instrument such as indicator alarm, recorder, regulator, etc. for measurement, indication and process adjustment.
If the temperature is lowered, the key parts of the pressure transmitter will be easily damaged. When using the pressure transmitter, antifreeze measures should be taken.
1. Heat tracing
The heat tracing generally includes two types: steam heat tracing and electric heat tracing. Steam heating refers to the method of heat preservation of pressure transmitter by injecting hot gas such as steam through the binding of the pipeline. When using this heat tracing method, attention should be paid to the length of the pipe, which should not be too long or too short. After the construction is completed, the pressure test must be taken before it can be used for formal instrument heat preservation. In the winter, the pipeline and temperature should be inspected and controlled regularly. Electric heat tracing refers to the heat dissipated through the heat tracing medium to supplement the heat loss of the heat tracing pipe, thereby achieving the heat preservation of the pressure transmitter.
2. The setting of the incubator
Refers to the process of wrapping the pressure transmitter with an incubator and then controlling the temperature through the heat preservation element in the incubator. The power supply must be properly controlled to ensure proper temperature in the incubator.
3. Use of electric heating cable
This is a new type of pressure transmitter heat perseveration method. It works by winding the cable around the housing of the pressure transmitter and then energizing it. When the current is converted into heat, the heat preservation effect on the pressure transmitter reaches.
Due to the low temperature in winter, it is very easy to cause damage to the pressure transmitter case or the freezing of liquid in the pressure port. Therefore, the heat preservation measures of the pressure transmitter must be done. When the pressure transmitter is heat preserved, the manual inspection method should be used to detect the heat preservation condition to prevent accidents.
