How to choose a diffused silicon pressure transmitter

The pressure of the diffused silicon pressure transmitter UPB13 directly acts on the diaphragm of the sensor (stainless steel or ceramic), causing the diaphragm to produce a micro displacement proportional to the pressure of the medium, which changes the resistance value of the sensor, and the electronic circuit monitors this change, it will convert and output a standard measurement signal corresponding to this pressure. What should we do to select a suitable diffused silicon pressure transmitter?

1. The measured pressure and medium distinction

First of all, it is necessary to determine the pressure type of the pressure transmitter UPB2. For the pressure type, we have gauge pressure, differential pressure, absolute pressure or negative pressure. This requires the user to understand the nature of the measured pressure.

2. How to choose the range

For safety reasons, the actual measured pressure should be 60%-80% of the ordering range value, and consider the large overload value. When measuring liquid pressure in dynamic pipelines, liquid hammer, air hammer effect, and impact pressure should also be considered, and the product range should be appropriately increased.

3. Product accuracy selection

The user can request the accuracy index of each and a single parameter according to the monitored working conditions in order to select the applicable accuracy requirements.

4. Product temperature range

After the pressure transmitter UPB9 is assembled with the circuit, comprehensive temperature compensation is performed. For users who require a wide temperature range and high total accuracy, software can also be used to perform temperature error correction in the secondary instrument data processing. If used beyond the compensation zone, the temperature coefficient index may exceed the standard, but it can still be used. While the long-term work in the temperature limit zone will affect the product life cycle.

5. Match with the measured medium

The sensor interface and electronic housing are produced from a variety of different structural materials. It has different media compatibility. In order to obtain a good use effect, the product will not be damaged due to the mismatch of the media, the user should understand the accurate name, concentration, temperature and corrosivity of the media when selecting and ordering.
